Step 12: The next step is to decide which activity restriction to use. You can base your Segment on: 1 - Who was sent the message 2 – Who opened the message at least 1 time (the number can be changed accordingly) 3 – Who opened the message and clicked on a link You can also select Match Inverse to match the opposite of the restriction. For our example, we will base our Segment on customers that opened the previous message. |

| Step 13: Your Segment will now show updated logic. If reviewing your Segment logic, you determine that you want to change the AND operator or the OR operator you can modify the Segment logic. To do this, click on Edit Logic. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

You can now rebuild your logic using different operators if you desire by clicking on one of the actions (1) and the conditional operator buttons AND/OR and close your statement with ending parenthesis (2). Click on Save (3) to finish. |

Step 14: Your Segment will now show updated logic. You can continue to add demographic or activity restrictions as needed to target your specific customer group. When you have completed adding restrictions, click SAVE & FINISH>>. |

Step 15: Your Segment will now show up in the Available Segments list. In order to see how many member records meet the restrictions of this Segment, you will need to generate it. To generate your Segment, click on View Results. |

Step 16: Generate the report. You can generate it immediately (1) or you can have the system send you an email when it has generated your Segment for you (2). In our example we will select Generate report now – I will wait. |

Step 17: Once the Segment has generated, it will give you the results. It will tell you if there are any member records that meet the Segment’s restrictions that are active or trashed. Trashed email addresses would be in the Unsubscribed, Bounced or Admin Trash folders. You will be able to view the addresses or download them into a file. It will also tell you the date and time that the Segment was generated. |

Step 18: When you close the results window, your screen will not show that the Segment has been generated yet. You will need to refresh your browser window to show the generation of the Segment. Once the window has been refreshed, you will see the last date the Segment was generated and how many active member records meet the restrictions of the Segment. |
